NOW HIRING: ASSISTANT EDITOR
Looking for an assistant editor who wants to grow in to their final form. This is a position that requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and willingness to put in long hours. It also has enormous potential for advancement and opportunities to work on prestigious projects from top studios and filmmakers.
Job duties include: Transcoding and importing media. Importing graphics. Exporting cuts and posting to clients. Troubleshooting basic Avid problems. Archiving inactive projects and maintaining a database for tracking archives. Managing Avid Nexis server and Avid media. Over-cutting trailers and spots. Prepping trailers and spots for finish and mix. Creating cue sheets. Keeping Avid projects organized. Breaking down feature film visuals and dialog in to organized sequences. QC'ing exported cuts. Light I.T. duties include setting up AVID workstations, troubleshooting tech issues, Avid Nexis workspace management, GSUITE user management, remote connection software user management.
Requirements
Good working knowledge of Media Composer
Exceptional attention to detail
Good communication skills
Knowledge of industry standard digital video file formats and codecs
Medium level I.T. general knowledge
Lack of fear
